Pacific Outdoors Disc Golf Basket

Tuesday, July 1st, 2008

I just bought my first home-use disc golf basket. I’ve been pretty busy as of late and my short game is sucking, so I decided to get something that I can use in the back yard for chipping and putting. I looked around at the different options, and I was hoping to pay under a hundred bucks - for a regulation basket that is sturdy and will withstand some beating, I figured that I was going to be SOL on the under-a-hundred-bucks thing, until I came across the Pacific Outdoors Disc Golf Basket on Amazon. Under a hundred bucks!

It’s on sale right now at $89.29, and it’s solid. It’s a little lighter in construction and weight than a regulation basket and the chains are a little lighter - but it stands solidly on the ground, and can withstand a beating. I’ve been throwing at it hard - and it withstands the abuse. It does seem to feel a little more prone to letting discs through its chains than a regulation basket, but for home use, it is perfect. It’s exactly what I needed to improve my short game.

The basket comes with a flag, three discs (a driver, midrange, and putter, which are low quality, but free - think cheap DX plastic) and is adjustable on a few levels. I highly recommend it!
